Upcoming Events & ITMA 2015 Update

December 6, 2015 Leave a comment

Hi Friends,

There are many events at Grafica and DMI in a row this month.

After I returned from the ITMA’15, a mega exhibition related to textile/garment industry held on 12-19 November 2015 in Milan, Italy. As an Indian distributor of Aeoon Technologies, Austria, we also shared a common platform with Aeoon to promote Aeoon KYO series digital printers in India.

Aeoon Direct to Garment Digital Printing Machine

Aeoon @ITMA 2015, Milan, Italy

Aeoon’s young and super sturdy machines have really rocked and proved their strength in the global market by securing several order bookings at ITMA.

This shows that despite the severe competition, their machine is one of the finest in the world. I came to know that some of their customers were using other DTG digital printing machines, but they were quite disappointed in terms of quality and productivity, hence they turned to Aeoon. That’s really amazing.

Aeoon’s few World Wide Distributors

The success of Aeoon Technologies is purely on merits of – Quality of their machine, striking design, productive features, performance and higher customer satisfaction. I would say the credit for Aeoon’s success should also go to their network of loyal dealers/ distributors and of course Aeoon management’s trust and confidence in them … I feel for a manufacturing companies like us, gaining dealer’s and customers’ loyalty and trust is very important for the growth and success in business and Aeoon has proved to be the best company to satisfy their dealers and distributors.

Anyway, back home, our team is just getting ready for the PAMEX’15 exhibition to be held in Mumbai on 9-12 December 2015. We will be showcasing our Cylinder Press, and other semi automatic screen printing machines. Our team will hold constant live demo to reveal the secret of value addition. I and our team expect to meet many of you at this mega event held once in two years.

After this exhibition, my team will rush to exhibit our nano-prinTex and nano-prinTag at KnitVision in Ludhiana on 18-21 December 2015.

Finally, please join me in congratulating 4 companies – PRS Permacel, Tarun Print Tech, Classic Stripes, and Nageen Prakashan – who, in all, won as many as 25 awards in the recently concluded SGIA’15 competition in USA, making India proud. (Page 12). And, now that Fespa has also invited entries for their 2016 Award Competition (Page 12) of our latest Grafica News India magazine November 2015 issue.

Nano-PrinTex is now being “marketed” by our competitors!!

December 23, 2012 2 comments

Hi friends,

Being in the manufacturing of flat-bed screen printing machines, cylinder press, fully automatic flat-bed machines and allied products for more than two decades my company Grafica had never experienced success the way we are experiencing since the day we launched the world’s first all electrical mechanical automatic direct-to-garment screen printing machine “nano-prinTex”. And the credit goes to one of our close competitors who are a distributor of a foreign company selling similar kind of machines, inks and consumables to textile screen printers in India.

I must “sincerely” thank them for their continued negative promotion/marketing which is directly helping us to sell our nano-prinTex easily and effort less, although their motive was otherwise!!

Here a recent case study of our victory in a trade exhibition:
A reputed garment manufacturer who placed an immediate order of nano-PrinTex without much introduction from our sales person happen to mention that when he was at one of our competitors booth he simply requested the owner of the company to clarify the technical difference between their product with Grafica’s nano-prinTex.

“But instead of explaining me the technical differences he kept on speaking only bad about your company and your products. Surprisingly what I noticed that he forgot my question and during the discussion I could clearly sense the kind of fear they have from Grafica. Their fear revealed the strength of your product as a result of which I made my decision clearly to buy Grafica’s nano-prinTex.”

These kind of cases are rare but from the day we have started manufacturing carousel screen printing machines for t-shirts printing, this competitor of ours have gone absolutely mad and crazy. In fact what I can see in them is fear, fear of losing the monopoly in the textile industry. In fact it is merely because of their monopoly customer had to buy their machines as there was no qualitative alternative!

So I would like to thank my competitors and their team for talking negative about us, sabotaging our image and making false stories about our products. By their constant and rigorous efforts in spreading negative news about Grafica’s nano-PrinTex we are gaining huge success in the textile industry. Also due to their wrong publicity our customers are gaining more confidence in our product and our company.

In fact our competitors are forgetting that Grafica is a manufacturer having a strong engineering team and prompt service backup. Today we have more than 2500+ customers with a solid network of dealers and distributors all over the world. Apart from prompt after sales and service support we also run a highly professional in-house training institute “DMI”. So far this institute has offered FREE training in screen printing to more than 1200+ students and printing professionals.

I think our competitor has wrong belief that customers are fools. But I strongly believe customers are smart, intelligent and clever.

For the success of Grafica’s nano-PrinTex, I wish their childish approach, unethical behaviour and unprofessionalism should continue forever because we are gaining more popularity.

Grafica’s nano-prinTex @ SGIA 2012 Las Vegas

Shall update you soon about the show with lots of interesting photos covering the whole event.

Have a great week…

nano-printex was a show stopper @GTE12 New Delhi

March 1, 2012 1 comment

On its debut, our most innovative product of this year, Grafica’s nano-prinTex “print easy” world’s first automatic direct-to-garment textile screen printing machine manufactured without problematic pneumatics or complicated hydraulic systems made its presence felt with a bang at the recently concluded Garment Technology Expo (GTE – 17-20 February 2012) in New Delhi.

nano-prinTex has really opened its innings with thunders from the day we launched this fantastic product. Soon every garment screen printers will realize the benefits after using this machine. Its not just that I am fully confident about the quality and consistency of our products but I strongly believe that this machine will speak on its own. Its such an amazing machine, highly comfortable and so easy to use that you will just like it as much as I do.

It’s my humble request to all garment screen printers that do not waste your hard earned money buying any expensive machine without seeing Grafica’s nano-prinTex because trust me Grafica’s nano-prinTex will give you better quality output and speed at a much lower investment.

SO THINK ABOUT YOUR ROI FIRST before making any quick decisions.

With this morale booster exhibition and our stepping stone for success we are now preparing ground to launch Grafica’s nano-prinTex at KnitWorld to be held from 16-19 March 2012 at Dana Mandi, Bahadur Ke Road, Ludhiana in the state of Punjab, India.

Meanwhile, I am thankful to all my customers and well wishers who visited us at GTE (Garment Technology Exhibition) at Okhla, New Delhi to witness live demo of nano-prinTex. I am especially thankful to all B2B media who gave wide coverage in their ‘daily show bulletin’ as well as in their regular magazines.

I am also preparing contents and samples for my first three days workshop at DMI (Dhirubhai Mistry Institute) exclusively on direct-to-garment textile screen printing scheduled from 5 to 7 April 2012. I would say it will be world’s first comprehensive workshop on direct-to-garment screen printing with live demo on our nano-prinTex.

If you are a textile screen printer than hurry up register your name for DMI’s exclusive workshop on direct-to-garment textile screen printing.

See you soon at KnitWorld, Ludhiana from 17 to19 March 2012 at Dana Mandi, Bahadur Ke Road, Ludhiana.

Grafica shows the path of value addition to visitors @SGIA Expo 2011

November 19, 2011 4 comments

I am just back in office after witnessing two mega exhibitions – SGIA 2011 in USA and PAMEX 2011 in India. The SGIA Expo 2011 was held during October 19-21, 2011 at New Orleans and PAMEX was held during 1-4 November at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

First let me share my experiences at SGIA. This time we had showcased the famous Nano Premier League (NPL and NPL plus) package. I spent a quality time with hundreds of visitors. I also attended ASPT’s Annual Meeting held on the sidelines of the SGIA expo.

For me the SGIA 2011 show was very important since my company participated in SGIA after a gap of 7 years. Ron Hayden of RH Solutions our Supplier for North America was quite capable in managing the entire show successfully and enthusiastically with additional support from Mike Young, David Eckl & Andy MacDougall. Even my guru Michel Caza was also present most of the time at our booth to answer queries of knowledge seeking visitors.

Our Booth No. 2901 at SGIA was a learning centre for many US and European entrepreneurs, engaged in screen printing. That’s because we had prominently displayed a large collection of creative print finishing samples and many other UV special effects. These samples were screen printed during our regular workshops at DMI.

We distributed our samples to visitors showing genuine interest in value addition. We had exhausted all the samples in two days and visitors were after us to get these samples. We had left only samples on display.

Although my initial excitement was focussed on introducing Grafica’s Nano range of machines, at the end, I must say that the expo turned out to be an exciting teaching experience to me. Majority of the visitors to our stall including many offset/packaging printers spent more time in understanding the techniques of incorporating various special effects than watching the live demo of our machines. Lots of sticker and label printers, industrial printers also wanted to know whether such special effects can be incorporated on their jobs.

To my surprise, there were many stalls of ink suppliers but none of them had demonstrated any special effect inks/varnishes or displayed the kind of printed samples we had in our stall.

That’s why I feel our presence in the US market through SGIA platform was very timely and stirred the minds of enthusiastic screen printers who want to explore the market for profitable business. I really look forward to make greater in roads into US market.

Coming back to the response part, I must say it was a new beginning for my company as far as US market is concerned. Nano Print was well received in terms of machine built and easy operational system. But Nano-Print plus was a star attraction because of its usual structural design with parallel lift movement. Its unique features and open from all sides design was well appreciated.

On the other hand, Nano-Screen Maker 5-in-1 received big thumbs up that is because it was world’s first all in one screen making system. Some visitors closely observed the system and remarked that 5-in-1 system is a fantastic creation of Grafica and a great space saver. They specially pointed out that within the machine itself lot of space has been saved. Many visitors were thrilled to see the unique and easy mechanism of fabric stretching unit attached to 5-in-1.

In India we are familiar with our market. For me it was important to understand the buyers’ psychology in the US market. I must acknowledge that Mike Young was supportive all throughout the show to achieve my goal. He was really a guiding force.

On the other hand, my guru, Michel helped me to deal with European visitors. He was so kind of in responding to visitors’ queries in industrial and graphics printing. I was a great fun and a learning experience for me and even I really had a good time with Michel Caza, Mike Young, David EKL, Andy MacDougall & off course Ron Hayden and I highly appreciate all of them for showing their enthusiasm in support me and Grafica.

And I must acknowledge that Ron of RH Solutions managed the show very well. Grafica really needed a competent professional like him to promote our products in USA. I noticed that he did not waste even a single minute; he was very active all throughout the show. He had the strong backing of David Eckl who is according to me a genius technician and an expert of screen printing machinery and Andy MacDougall who also supported throughout the show.

SGIA 2011 in general – my view point

I was told that last SGIA at Las Vegas was better than this year’s exhibition. Even in 2011 SGIA exhibition on the US soil, I was really surprised to see some exhibitors still trying to promote their manual screen printing systems and wooden frames. While in India my company is spearheading the movement called ‘manual to automation in screen printing’, I did not feel good about the promotion of outdated methods of screen printing right at SGIA expo. Even if such companies want to sell their products, I feel they should not promote it at a premier exhibition.

Over all I think the SGIA 2011 focussed only 25% on screen printing. Many leading screen ink and machinery manufacturers found missing. According to me “SCREEN PRINT INDIA” exhibition is very well organized in India and mainly focussed to promote the screen printing technology.

Although textile industry is active in US, many players (inks and machine manufacturers) did not participate in SGIA expo. I think SGIA should also give special attention to screen printing to ensure that screen printing also take the leading role in SGIA EXPO.

In my view SGIA should encourage more and more manufacturers and suppliers to participate the exhibition so that screen printing as a versatile process gets its due mileage.

These entries were evaluated by an elite team of imaging professionals (including my guru – Michel Caza and close friend Mike Young).

Because photography in the gallery was not permitted I had nothing to show pictorially about the award winning screen printed samples. But I can only narrate in words about the kind of creative award winning jobs which were on display. All were brilliant master pieces.

If I am not wrong, India’s multi faceted printing houses grabbed as many as 44 awards out of 50 main categories in the just concluded SGIA 2011 (USA) Golden Image Award Competitions, which only speaks about the growing power of screen printing in India.

I would like to congratulate all award winners:

Spectrum Scan (7 titles), textile printing specialists Tarun Print Tech (15 titles) and Varsha Transprint (9 titles), India’s top automobile decal makers Classic Stripes (6 titles) and PRS Permacel (3 titles) – Industrial labels and membrane switch makers Pune based Unique Labels (2 titles) and Keetronics (1 title).

Interestingly, this year’s highest honors were given to select winning entries, including:
Best in Digital Creativity: “Angels Pillow Cover,” Varsha Transprint, (Mumbai, India)

Best of Show Digital: “LOreal NutriShine Decal,” Spectrum Scan Pvt Ltd, (Mumbai, India)

ASPT Best of Show Garments: “MAN VIEW CHANGE,” Tarun Print Tech, (Sewri Mumbai, India)

Take care…

Finally five global screen masters all set to shower knowledge at FESPA AMERICAS in Orlando

February 19, 2011 2 comments

All set to fly to Orlando, USA within next few hours to join the elite club of 5 Global Screen Masters who are going to conduct exhaustive 3-day workshops on advanced screen printing during the FESPA AMERICAS on 24, 25 and 26th February 2011. CLICK HERE FOR WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

My brand new screen printing package now popularly called as Nano Premier League (NPL) has already reached Orlando for the workshop. A set of DMI’s creative samples has also been sent along with NPL to promote my print finishing concept for value addition through screen printing.

‘Orlando’ is synonymous with the famous Walt Disney World or Disney World, the world’s largest and most-visited recreational resort. If this world famous resort was inspired by the dreams of Walt Disney, then FESPA AMERICAS I would say, is inspired by the think tanks of FESPA Board to fulfill the aspirations of American Screen Printers. And I would look forward to conduct this workshop which I hope would bring fun to every attendee as much as the Disney World.

So, please stay tuned to my blog for daily update with photographs which I shall upload on day to day basis after the workshop. Because this is going to be one of the first of its kind creative live workshop on advanced screen printing organised by FESPA.

GULF PRINT PACK 2011, Dubai – 14 to 17 March 2011

WoW! This would be our second appearance in an international exhibition within 45 days. Recently we had successfully exhibited wide range of screen printing machines and allied equipment in the 14th Annual Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East exhibition at Dubai Airport Expo.

Now once again my team is busy in preparing for the International exhibition on Printing & Packaging Industry to be held at Dubai Airport Expo from 14-17 March 2011. This would be our third exhibition within one year in Dubai.

This time we are demonstrating 30″ x 40″ Cylinder Press with inline UV with all new improved features like sticky roller for dust removal and antistatic system along with NPL package.

Gulf Print & Pack focuses on the latest innovations in printing machinery, substrates and other solutions that will allow the screen printing business to grow in many folds.

Garknit-X, Kolkata – 25 to 27 February 2011

And now we have this GarKnit-X in Kolkata next week which is an international trade show on apparel, knitting, leather and jute technology fabric & accessories, to be held at Science City from February 25 – 27, 2011. We will be displaying our complete NPL package for the first time in eastern region all with new and improved features besides array of DMI’s creative samples all 100% screen printed.

Nano-Print plus production commenced…

The production of our new innovation “Nano-Print plus” is now in full swing. There is a surprise to all those who have booked for this machine earlier. Nano-Print plus has been redesigned after meticulous R&D by our engineering team to offer bigger print area 22” x 28” instead of 18″ x 24″ print area with no additional cost.

By the way we have also started to offer NPL plus package. Download PDF for more details about attractive discounts offered on NPL plus

What’s new to see in next DMI Workshop:

NEW Series of Packaging design and innovation through screen printing with special effect.

I will also be showing my new concept – Nano Print semi automatic multi color line using 100 LPI halftone dots.

The reason to show this innovative concept in my workshop from now onwards is to educate how to reduce manpower and supervision cost and how to increases productivity. This is something I believe never done before in the screen printing industry with semi automatic machines.

So folks finally have a nice weekend and don’t forget to see my FESPA AMERICAS workshop blog and photos daily from 24th onwards.

Thank you an good bye for now…
